Routine

The monthly room is the main answer. The car price is a rough extra estimate that assumes the down payment shown above, and it moves when you change the assumptions.

What this tool answers

This page is for the question “how much can I budget for a car every month?” It does not begin with a car price. It subtracts expenses and your desired remaining buffer from take-home income.

That leftover amount has to cover fuel, insurance, maintenance, and the rest — not amortization alone. If you want the opposite direction, use Can I Afford This Car? with a specific price, or How Much Salary Do I Need? to solve for income.

Example

The form above starts with the same example: ₱85,000 take-home, ₱32,000 expenses, and a ₱10,000 desired buffer leave ₱43,000 for the car. Estimated ownership costs in this example are about ₱8,717, so about ₱34,283 remains for a loan. That leftover loan room can be turned into an estimated maximum car price of ₱1,781,209 using the assumed ₱240,000 down payment and the example interest rate.

Questions people ask

Is the monthly budget the same as the loan payment I can afford?

No. The monthly budget is the amount left for every car-related cost combined. Fuel and other ownership costs use part of that budget, so the loan payment has to fit in what remains.

Why is there an estimated maximum car price?

If money is still left after estimated ownership costs, SaktoPara reverse-calculates a loan principal and adds your down payment. If ownership costs already use the whole budget, no financed price is shown.

Do I need a car price for this tool?

No. This tool starts from income. Car price is not required. Down payment and ownership assumptions only affect the optional maximum price estimate.
